The BIS-6636 is a compact fanless dual NIC system embedded PC developed around the most latest Intel® Atom™ N2800 and D2550 processors. The BIS-6636 Cedar Trail embedded system offers continual connectivity with a host of input and output options including six USB ports, up to six COM ports and two Gigabit Ethernet ports. Wireless connectivity is also a key factor, so this system is equipped with on-board SIM socket for 3G/4G connectivity or WiFi option via Mini-PCIe slot. With the help of the integrated PowerVR GPU, the BIS-6636 performs hardware encoding and decoding of HD Video in real time. Display outputs include one VGA port and one DVI-D port at up to 1920 x 1200 and an internal 18-bit LVDS at up to 1366 x 768 resolution. Externally accessible 2.5" SATA drive bay and optional mSATA support via an internal mini-PCIe slot. The system supports Windows 7 Embedded, Windows 7, and Embedded Linux OS like Timesys Fedora. The BIS-6636's fanless, embedded long life cycle support, rich I/O, easy access drive bay design makes it perfect for digital signage, building automation, NVR, point-of-sales, and other embedded and industrial applications. Unique from all previous generation Atoms, the Intel® Atom™ D2550 is equipped with a PowerVR SGX545 GPU clocked at 640MHz. The SGX545 is the next generation of GPU's following the iPad 2 GPU's (similar IP) from Imagination Technologies. The stunning integrated graphics improves graphics by 60% better than previous Atom processors and decodes a variety of video at full HD with formats (MP4, H.264, and WMV9) displaying riveting visual quality.
